FILING TAX RETURNS FOR EMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS
The good news is that you only need to file a single tax return every year – by 30th June. This applies for anyone who is employed, self-employed or not employed. The even better news is that we can make the filing of this return such a breeze, you will not remember the deadline whiiiiiizing past. What you need to know is that tax returns need to be filed in chronological order (file 2016 tax return before the 2017 tax return) and a penalty of KES 20,000 is applicable where a return is filed late.
All we need is your PIN, itax password and your tax deduction card (P9) if you are an employee and the details of your business income and expenses if you are self-employed / business person. For these two groups of people, we will file a full tax return on the iTax profile, while if you are not employed, we will assist you file a nil return.
